Sherwood Announces Their First Soundbars and Three HTiB Systems

Sherwood has announced their first soundbars and three new home theater in a box systems. All of the systems are designed for the value-oriented buyer without giving up on features. The new soundbars for instance include iPod docks and FM radio receivers, giving them tremendous flexibility.

Sherwood SB-422li & SB-3721 Soundbars

The SB-4221i features two 15 watt 2.75″ drivers and dual 4″ subwoofers driven by a 30 watt RMS amplifier. The unit comes with a remote but can also be operated via touch panel on the front of the soundbar. The 422li includes TV, DVD, and MP-3 audio inputs and includes a iPod charging dock with video and S-video outputs. It also includes an FM stereo radio.

The SB-422li is value-priced at $159.95 and will be available in the first quarter.

The SB-3721 also features stereo speakers with built-in subwoofer, just with a little less power. the 3721 delivers 10 watts per channel for the main speakers and 20 watts for the subwoofer. It also includes a full function wireless remote, and TV, DVD and mp3 audio inputs.

The SB-3721 retails for $129.95 and it will be available in the first quarter.

Sherwood Home Theater in a Box Systems

Sherwood also announced three new HTiB systems at CES. All three systems upscale DVD to 1080p over HDMI, and also provide CD and MP-3 playback, FM Stereo reception, and include USB host connections.

The HT-4180WL is a 480 watt 5.1 channel system with wireless rear speakers. Its receiver provides Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic II playback and feeds 80 watts each to the left, center and right speakers. Each surround speaker is powered by a 60 watt amplifier. For playback, it handles the DVD±R/RW, CD-R/RW, DivX, JPPEG, VCD, SVCD, MP-3, and WMA formats.

The stylish slim column design left, right and surround speakers have a black high gloss finish, and the receiver features a black half-mirror and high gloss finish.

The expected retail price for the HT-4180WL is $499.95. The HT-4180 is the same system with wired rear speakers, it will retail for $100 less at $399.95. Both systems will be available in the first quarter.

The HT-4160 400 watt 5.1 channel system delivers 60 watts to each of the five mini speakers and includes a 100 watt subwoofer. Its playback and viewing options include the DivX, VCD, and JPEG formats. The receiver features a high-gloss black, half-mirror finish.

The HT-4160 retails for $319.95 and will be available in the first quarter.

The VR-780 200 watt “Hollywood at Home” 2.1 channel system delivers 50 watts each to the left and right channels and includes a 100 watt subwoofer. Its receiver provides Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, and QBS 3-D Sound playback and has a 5-mode preset equalizer.

The VR-780 is $269.95 and it will be available in the first quarter.
