Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 7-40 Announced

Written on Jun 3, 2009 by Brian and filed under News

B&O has updated their all-in-one offering that includes a 40″ LCD panel, Blu-ray player and variable soundbar type speaker options. At $13,500 it’s hard to call this unit a home theater in a box, but the principal is about the same, just a little higher strata than the typical $500 unit.

The big news for this unit is the optional Blu-ray player which supports BD-Live.  To take use of the high resolution video, the BeoVision 7-40 integrates the sophisticated Bang & Olufsen video engine and their  double frame rate technology, also known as 100Hz, with motion compensation. The net result is a picture refresh rate that is double that of conventional LCD TV.

When it comes to sound, the BeoVision 7 is paired with the BeoLab 7-2 loudspeaker unit that can be placed a variety of ways for premium sound. The entire unit can also be mounted on the stand as pictured, or on a table top or wall mount. The unit also comes in six different trim colors including natural aluminium, black, dark grey, red, blue and golden.

BeoVision 7 is available now at B&O delaers.
