Mvix Ultio will be released in two versions. The regular version comes in at $169 but does not include internal storage. The premium version comes in at $259 but features a 1 TB disk drive.

Of course the hard drive isn’t the only way to view content through the Ultio. The units come with a network port and users can add wireless as an option. Ultio has a samba server and a UPnP implementation, allowing seamless integration with services like PlayOn or Tversity (for streaming video content from Netflix, Hulu, CBS, Youtube, CNN, ESPN and more).

Other highlights include a built-in Torrent client, included remote control, and the source code for the unit is available as part of the General Public License (GPL) agreement.

Mvix plans to ship the Ultio the first week of July.
