Roku Adds MLB.tv Support

Written on Aug 11, 2009 by Brian and filed under News

The Roku media streaming box is one of the best values in the home theater space right now. They just made it a little better by adding support for MLB.tv premium subscribers. The $99 Roku box (no subscription fees) now handles Netflix, Amazon and MLB.tv.

With an MLB.tv Premium subscription, baseball fans can keep tabs on their favorite out-of-market teams either live or in replay after the games are over. With the season winding down, the MLB.tv service is discounted to $34.95.

If you already have a Roku player, it will automatically dowload the update this week. To update your player manually, click the “Settings” button, then “Player Info” and select “check for update.”
