Pioneer HTP-SB300 3.1 Channel Soundbar Announced

Written on Sep 11, 2009 by Brian and filed under News, Pioneer

Pioneer has launched their first soundbar – the HTP-SB300, not to be confused with Sharp’s soundbar, the HT-SB300. The 3.1 channel bar boasts an impressive 250 watts of system power and a wireless subwoofer.

Pioneer is a little thin on specs but we do know the HTP-SB300 will feature dual center channel speakers, two HDMI inputs and decoding for DTS, Dolby Digital PLUS and Dolby TrueHD. And as it’s a Pioneer, we expect it to sound great, even for a first soundbar effort.

The HTP-SB300 is intended to be wall-mounted and paired with medium sized panels in the 32” – 37” size range.

The Pioneer HTP-SB300 will be released in December for a yet undisclosed price.

  1. Pioneer LX01 – does anyone get this home theatre garniture? I am searching to get a home theatre set and the Pioneer LX01 looking reasonable on commercial. Does anyone get frist hand knowledge of operating this? How does it sound? Does the deficiency of a basic speaker impact the sound attribute?
