LaCie LaCinema Classic HD Media Player Announced

LaCie has announced another unit in their media player lineup. The LaCinema Classic HD offers 1080p playback, 1TB of storage and a built-in DLNA media server. The $250 unit will start shipping soon.
The big benefit of the LaCinema Classic HD compared to other media streamers is the inclusion of 1TB of on-board storage and the ability to output at 1080p. Most media servers claim HD, which they are, but only output at 720p. The LaCinema Classic HD will slide right into your home network via Ethernet (wireless optional via dongle) and act as a central storage point for all types of media.
The LaCinema Classic HD comes with a remote, and get this, an actual HDMI cable, instead of the useless RCA cables most units come with. They also toss in an Ethernet cable and the DLNA Twonky Media Server for Mac and Windows to make sure users have everything they need out of the box – nice touch.
