Monster Intros New Products at CES 2010

Monster is introducing several new products at CES 2010 including home theater remote controls, home theater power supplies, and new cable solutions.

MCC AV50/AV55 Home Theater Controllers

The AV50/AV55 home theater controllers are “simple advanced” remotes designed to control all of today’s home theater equipment. They are completely pre-programmed for fast and easy setup. These remotes are designed to replace the numerous remotes many home theater owners have. The AV55 adds dual-color backlighting over the AV50 which changes color depending on source (blue for a broadcasting source such as a cable/satellite connection, amber for a recorded medium such as a DVR/DVD).
The MCC AV50 and AV55 home theater controllers are available now for $99.95 and $129.95, respectively.

HTUPS 3700 PowerCenter

Monster has announced the availability of its HTUPS 3700 uninterruptable home theater power supply. Notable features include surge protection, clean power filtering, automatic voltage regulation, RS-232 control for home system interface, and remote access control over IP. It has a digital display showing the minutes of backup battery time remaining and supplies up to five hours of backup power on its internal battery. Remote access control is provided over IP with the addition of an IP module – users can check on their equipment from anywhere. It can also automatically shut down and power up items as needed to minimize power drain.
The HTUPS 3700 PowerCenter is available now for $1,099.95.

New Digital Life Cables

Monster is expanding its line of Digital Life cables, including USB, Ethernet, and HDMI solutions. A full list of the cables includes:

• Monster Cable High Performance USB 3.0 – This new leading-edge ultra-high-speed cable exceeds USB 3.0 Specs and provides the fastest data transfer available for next-generation USB peripherals. Scheduled for March availability, pricing to be announced.
• High Performance Camcorder Mini to Standard HDMI – This advanced cable for HDMI is designed for connecting HDTVs and camcorders (DL HDMI A/C-8). Scheduled for availability in January 2010, MSRP $89.95.
• Advanced High Speed DisplayPort – A next-generation A/V connection for computing and convergence devices. Available in mid-January 2010 in 4-, 8- and 16-foot lengths as follows: DL DSPT AS-4 4, MSRP $89.95; DL DSPT AS-8, MSRP $119.95; DL DSPT AS-16, MSRP $149.95.
• DisplayPort Adapters – These leading-edge devices allow users to connect DisplayPort equipped devices to HDMI, DVI, or VGA monitors/displays. Available as follows:
