Onkyo has announced two new home theater in a box (HTiB) systems: the 7.1-channel HT-S5400 and the 5.1-channel HT-S3400. The receivers feature four HDMI inputs and one output plus support for 3D video.

Of their three home theater CES releases, Samsung is the least forthcoming about the HT-BD1250 Blu-ray HTiB system. It is a full 5.1 system though with Blu-ray, 1,000 watts of power and kelp speakers like the BD7200.

Samsung Adding Netflix Support to Blu-ray Players

Samsung and Netflix have announced a partnership to offer the ability to instantly stream movies and TV episodes from the Netflix Web site directly via Samsung’s BD-P2500 and BD-P2550 Blu-ray disc players. Samsung also announced plans to integrate streaming from Netflix into a range of home entertainment products. While their home theater in a box systems weren’t specifically mentioned, it’s logical to assume that Samsung plans to bring the Netflix content to those systems as part of this initiative.
