Onkyo has announced two new home theater in a box (HTiB) systems: the 7.1-channel HT-S5400 and the 5.1-channel HT-S3400. The receivers feature four HDMI inputs and one output plus support for 3D video.

Seagate has launched a new product in their home theater line – the FreeAgent Theater+ HD. This upgraded model of their FreeAgent Theater adds true HD output and support for Dolby Digital Surround Sound Technology – along with an HDMI out port and Ethernet. JVC has has announced two new soundbars at CEDIA today. Multi-channel soundbars seem to be all the rage and JVC doesn’t disappoint, delivering two 4.1 channel soundbars, complete with wireless subwoofer. The TH-BA1 and TH-SB100 are the same unit, the latter just comes paired with a JVC Blu-ray player for a more comprehensive package.

Sharp has announced the HT-SB500 3.1 channel soundbar today at CEDIA. The Sharp HT-SB500 houses left and right speakers, a center channel and subwoofer in one slim package. Sharp has also paired the HT-SB500 with a touch panel control pad on the front of the unit.

The Fujitsu ESPRIMO Q1500 is the latest micro-PC from a mainstream vendor, coming on the heels of announcements from Lenovo, Asus and others. As with the competing devices the ESPRIMO Q1500 boasts power efficiency and HDMI output. This little guy has one more trick up its sleeve though, optional Blu-ray, which is something we haven’t seen yet out of the competition. The computer is available now in Europe, hopefully a US release comes along quickly.
